Community Outreach

The Community Hub also works in partnership with the Goodwin Village to provide community outreach opportunities for Monash Primary School students. Monash students have worked with Goodwin village for a number of years and invite the residents to visit the Hub each school term for high tea. During this time students perform a concert and serve the residents tea and coffee. Younger students are invited to engage in reading books with the residents. Students also visit Goodwin Village and engage in a reading program 3 times a term. Students walk down to the village with a book of their choice to share with a resident. This program is both beneficial to residents and students, providing confidence and literacy development to students and mental stimulation and company for residents.

Please contact the school for more details about our Community Hub and its programs and services.
